Welcome to The Blue-Collar Bible Scholar.

My name is Robert Bordelon-Pearson. I had 5 years of Bible college, dropped out and became an electrician. I’ve been a husband for 18 years and am a father of 10. As an electrician for 10 years I’m a blue-collar Bible scholar. I do my best to use my education work experience to make Ivory tower theology accessible. I encourage every Christian to read the Bible for themselves and not be afraid to learn about original languages, history, and theology.

I’ve written The Blue-Collar Blindspot calling Evangelical leaders to recognize the importance of the common working man and how they are missing him. The average guy reading it will find a purpose and depth in their labor and see how Jesus joins them in it.

Learning more and reading more about the Early Church lead me to discover the Truth and beauty of the Catholic Faith. I went through OCIA and was Confirmed in the Catholic Church on Easter Vigil of 2024. I want every Christian to take the Early Church Fathers AT LEAST as seriously as they would G. K. Chesterton or C. S. Lewis.

I want every Christian to grow in their knowledge as well as their faith.
